Ivanhoe Lam received a diploma in School of Drama and School of Dance (Contemporary Dance) from the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts and obtained a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree, majoring in choreography from Codarts, Rotterdam.
His works have toured Shanghai, Dusseldorf, Zurich, Guangzhou, Beijing, Rotterdam, The Hague, Utrecht and Amsterdam. Recent own works include Living up to HER, Report i – Which i am I, Pretext Quartet, ODDs and Even  Odd. In Spring 2015, he was invited by Connecting Spaces to curate and create a multidisciplinary performance, Odd Couplings with ten Swiss artists during his three months artist-residence at Zurich University of the Arts.
Lam also does directing, staging, choreography and movement design for various productions: The Void by HK Repertory Theatre; The Originals - HK musicals in concert by Leon Ko x Hong Kong Sinfonietta; Love, Death and Everything in between and Sing While You Can by Yat Po Singers; Markus Passion (Bach im theatre) and Hercules (Bach im theatre) by SingFest HK; Why We Chat? and Finding Loveless Land by Edward Lam Dance Theatre; The Great Pretender a Musical (Preview) by West Kowloon Cultural District Authority X HK Repertory Theatre; The Pride and 1894 Hong Kong Plague - a Musical by Hong Kong Repertory Theatre; Girls in Tears and Girl’s Prayer by Chan Fai-young x Women’s Choir; Karma Chameleon the Concert by Prudence Liew; Initial 2018SS Fashion Show - The Orient Express; Sins by Artocrite Theater etc.
